- April '10: Adoption paperwork & homestudy officially completed. In the pool of waiting families. Praying for a short wait.
- Jan./Feb. '10: IVF Attempt #3, retrieval but nothing made it to transfer.
- Nov. '09: Retrieval, but nothing made it to transfer.
- Oct. '09: I turn 38 (WTF?) and IVF#2 gets underway, retrieval and all that jazz, if it happens, will be in November
- Sept. '09: IVF#1 canceled before retrieval for poor response/wrong protocol.
- Summer '09: Slooowly working on adoption, gearing up for IVF
- Late May '09: Try #9 (injectables cycle 3). Follistim 150 units x 6 nights, then cycle cancelled because all the follies were on the left side & left tube is blocked.
- May '09: Submitted formal adoption application, met with adoption counselor again, took required classes, continued with paperwork.
- Late April/Early May '09: Try #8 (Injectables cycle 2). Follistim 150 units x 3 nights, then 75 units x 5 nights. Started to ovulate on my own, Ovidrel trigger, one IUI, progesterone, BFN
- Early April '09: Sitting out a cycle because of work travel.
- March '09: Signed up with the adoption agency and began injectables. Try #7, Follistim 75 units for 8 nights, Ovidrel trigger, one IUI, progesterone, BFN
- Feb. '09: New insurance, new doc, new donor, new plan. Bring on the injectables.
- Jan. '09: Insurance wrangling, doctor shopping, adoption thinking
- Dec. '08 Still pausing, three cycles into the break ....
- Nov. '08: Pausing .....
- Oct. '08: Try #6, Clomid & trigger, two IUIs, progesterone, BFN
- Sept. '08: Try #5, Clomid & trigger, two IUIs, progesterone, BFN
- Aug. '08: out a cycle because of family vacation
- July '08: Try #4, Clomid & trigger, one IUI, progesterone, BFN
- July '08: HSG redux
- June '08: Try #3, 2 IUIs, progesterone, BFN
- Late May '08: and sitting out another cycle
- Early May '08: sitting out a cycle
- Late April '08: HSG
- April '08: Try #2, 2 IUIs that were more like ICIs, progesterone, BFN
- March '08: anovulatory cycle
- Feb. '08: Try #1, 2 IUIs, progesterone to lengthen luteal phase, BFN
- Jan. '08: HSN
- Oct. '07: started OPKing
- Aug. '07: started charting BBT
- May '07: testing for Factor Five Leiden (negative).

Ah, the bloody wanding. I've never had the pleasure (horror), but I'm sure it's all for the best. Surely more information will get you knocked up sooner.

Yeah... gotta love those CD 3 wandings!! They aren't that bad... and really, it's standard practice. You should get a good idea on your antral follicle count & make sure you don't have any cysts. Good luck!!

We welcome the dildo cam with open legs. I've had that miniature camera inside me 3x this week alone. It's no big deal! Actually, it's pretty cool seeing your follicles and uterine lining.
Oh yeah - I always wonder if they draw straws for that job. Ick! But useful information will be gathered.
I some how have gotten used to the whole thing. I hope they get good information. As my RE says EVERY time "there is going to be a little pressure". Good luck!!!
it's not that bad. seriously. i was really stressed about it, and it turned out to be totally easy and fine. the office i had it in was dark and lovely, there was a bathroom attached to it where they ask you to pee and remove tampon etc. then i came into a really dark room, they wanded, it took maybe 3 minutes, and they sent me back into the bathroom to get myself back together. totally fine. i expected it to look like a murder scene, but not at all.
